uPVC Stacking Doors Sydney
Multiple sliding panels that gather behind one another at one end of the opening, clearing most of the aperture without folding.
A stacking door runs each panel on its own track so they collect behind one another at one side. You get most of the clear opening a bi-fold gives, with the simpler action and flatter stack of a slider - the panels finish parallel to the wall rather than projecting into the room as a folded bundle.
Stacking versus bi-fold
Bi-folds clear slightly more of the opening; stackers stack flatter and are lighter to operate day to day. If the space beside the opening is tight or you want the stack to sit against a wall return rather than fold into the room, stacking is usually the better fit. Both are quoted at the measure so you can compare them on your actual opening.
Tracks and maintenance
More panels means more tracks, and tracks collect grit. Ours are drained and profiled to shed debris, and the rollers are adjustable so panels can be re-levelled without dismantling the door.
Glass
All panels take insulated units up to 44mm, so acoustic laminated glass is available across the full set - worth specifying where the opening faces a street or a shared courtyard.
